
Indirect Procurement Specialist – IT Category
We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Specialist within IT for a consulting assignment with a large international organisation operating in the energy and infrastructure sector. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension.
This is an opportunity to join a strategic transformation programme where you will play a key role in IT sourcing and procurement activities, supporting a major organisational transition and ensuring supplier readiness and successful delivery.

About the Assignment
As an Indirect Procurement Specialist within the IT Category, you will primarily support the procurement activities of a strategic programme. Your focus will be to establish and execute sourcing activities required to secure the programme timeline, support Day-1 readiness and prepare the future organisation for supplier mobilisation and delivery.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Procurement, IT, Architecture, Security, Legal and the business, translating complex requirements into practical sourcing strategies and procurement processes.
The role also includes independently managing qualified procurements of goods and services, supplier follow-up and evaluation, as well as providing advice and support on contractual and procurement-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform IT category and supplier-market scans covering services and capabilities required by the programme.
- Translate business, IT, architecture, security and transition requirements into sourcing strategies, supplier criteria and procurement plans.
- Prepare, coordinate and issue LUF RFI, RFQ and RFP documentation together with relevant stakeholders.
- Plan and manage procurement milestones, dependencies and decisions in line with the overall programme roadmap.
- Develop evaluation criteria, commercial models and scoring structures and coordinate transparent supplier evaluations.
- Support supplier shortlisting, clarification meetings, negotiations and commercial recommendations.
- Coordinate contracting activities and support supplier onboarding, mobilisation and handover.
- Maintain a consolidated overview of supplier selection status, timelines, commercial assumptions, risks and decisions.
- Provide procurement input to programme reporting, budget discussions and Steering Committee decision material.
- Coordinate closely with the organisation’s existing indirect procurement function and the procurement organisation of the future company.
- Support direct procurements and call-offs against existing framework agreements when required.
Your Profile
We are looking for a procurement professional with strong experience in IT sourcing and indirect procurement, preferably from large and complex organisations or transformation programmes.
To succeed in the role, you should have:
- Strong experience in IT procurement, sourcing and supplier management.
- Experience managing structured procurement processes, including RFI, RFQ and RFP.
- Experience working with commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations and contracting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to create alignment between commercial, technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to maintain transparency and auditability throughout procurement processes.
- A pragmatic and delivery-oriented approach, balancing procurement quality, governance and compliance with programme deadlines.
- The ability to prioritise and maintain momentum in a fast-changing environment with multiple dependencies.
- A self-driven and collaborative working style, with the ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
- High integrity and sound judgement when handling commercially sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience with procurement under LUF or similar regulated procurement frameworks is highly relevant for the assignment.
